Super Structures: Investigating fractal theory across geometry, sound, spirituality & design

Abstract

This research proposal, Super Structures, examines the intersection of fractal theory within geometry, sound, spirituality, and design. It seeks to explore the resonance experience and its multidimensional implications through recursive patterns, with particular focus on sequences such as Thue-Morse. Leveraging my expertise in design and classical piano, alongside collaboration with scientists, mathematicians, and sound experts, the project aims to investigate resonance theories and their connection to fractal and dimensional influences. A central goal is to create a curatorial framework that aligns frequencies to foster peaceful interactions and reduce violence, potentially integrating the principles of Edna (Olive, 2024) This transdisciplinary study aspires to offer fresh perspectives on the interplay between structure, sound, and human experience, advancing both academic knowledge and practical applications in design and societal well-being.
